Fayna Irongut is the young and naive little sister of Kaigan. Her birth is the cause of a great deal of pain for the Irongut clan. Her mother, Fayna Silvershale, died soon after giving birth. Determined not to let his wife's memory go, her father, Durkan, named his baby daughter after her.
Fayna's story is short, as she has not yet had a chance to define herself. While she didn't get to know her brother well during the first decade of her life, she has tried to keep in touch with her mother's family, despite the estrangement practiced by her father.
She became interested in hunting in the mountain wilderness of Dun Morogh. She soon showed an aptitude with the gun. During one of her hunting trips, she came across a baby snow bear, whom she adopted and named Urzo. Urzo became a loyal companion as he grew to adulthood, and has been with her ever since.
When Kaigan was wounded during the Trogg invasion of Thelsamar and returned to Ironforge, she was in charge of taking care of him, while Durkan rejoined the Ironforge guard and shipped out to Loch Modan. Under her care, he was soon recupperated and back into training for the guard.
When the 2nd war ended, and Kaigan expressed his wish to join the Knighthood of the Silver Hand, Fayna witnessed a great argument between her father and brother. When it was over, Durkan had all but disowned his son, and Kaigan bid farewell to his sister and travelled south to Stormwind. She was wonderfully surprised when an Ironforge guard (and former member of Kaigan's unit), delivered a letter to her from her brother. From then on, Fayna recieved regular letters from her brother, kept secret from Durkan.
She was overjoyed when Kaigan returned to Ironforge, to assist in the construction of the Mystic Ward of Ironforge, however, she was also disappointed when he moved into a house near the Hall of Ancients. Durkan would have nothing to do with Kaigan, and soon enough, Kaigan had moved on to deal with various objectives of the Knighthood.
When Kaigan created the Order of the Tankard, she begged her brother to join, he gladly accepted, and Fayna discovered many new friends in the guild. She tried to mend relations between her brother and father, but in the end, her father, though having joined the guild, found something to gripe at Kaigan about. In the end, Fayna realized that nothing she did could do would at home would bring her family together, and she decided to take extreme measures. With the help of her brother's friend Wysen, a human sorcerer; she was teleported to Darnassus and began to adventure in the lands of the Night Elves. Unfortunately, her plans backfired, and Durkan was soon harassing Kaigan all the more. Deciding that they just needed time away from her, she has wandered deep into the Ashenvale forest of Kalimdor, determined to prove herself to both her father and brother.
